Anne Rodda, Founder/Director

We supply expertise to strengthen Aotearoa's for-purpose, creative and arts sectors so you can optimise your mahi, deliver your purpose and serve your communities.

Our Services

Advice and Mentoring

We help you analyse the situation, identifying your obstacles and opportunities, then provide hands-on tailored advice to transform as needed and coach for success.

Because we're solution-focused, you will receive customised fit-for-future outcomes with implementation plans as well as the technical tools to deliver them.

Shared Services

We provide "back office" functions such as bookkeeping and copywriting to create efficiencies and savings.

We can facilitate the synergistic pooling of resources and purchasing power so you can focus on your cause.

Our Approach

Think of us as your health-provider.  We want you strong and thriving so you can enjoy yourself.

Our approach is holistic - we address the full breadth of symptoms and draw upon a team of specialists according to your unique needs.

Your health-management plan may be a few simple scripts, or it may require a procedure and physio-like exercises to strengthen your core - the goal is that you are fit for the future.

Voyager Advisory works with a team of industry experts to provide a holistic and one-stop-shop service.

A ‘creative’ with a commercial mind-set and a social conscience, Anne is a trained classical cellist that purposefully moved into the management environment 20 years ago and has since led six high-profile NFPs, consistently increasing revenue, audience, brand-awareness and net profit.  She has delivered quality experiences for New Zealand – always within the context of high public scrutiny, demanding outcomes, and in the most underfunded and challenging business sectors in the country.

Anne has consulted to business, local government and charities, lectured in arts industry management and served on granting committees, government and Not-for-Profit boards.

She has delivered some of New Zealand’s iconic programmes and events including the Michael Hill International Violin Competition since 2001, the Auckland Writers & Readers Festival and the 2020 Kiwibank New Zealander of the Year Awards.

Covid has taught us the importance of looking honestly and objectively at our businesses and taking bold steps to ensure our future.

I have been transforming organisations for two decades and it's now my turn to give back.  To share what I've learned and to help others chart their future with ability and confidence.

Roger has over 30 years experience working in arts and cultural organisations in New Zealand.  He has a wide knowledge of the arts and cultural sector from inside and out.

His strength in the unusual combination of artistic leadership and sound management skills, makes him one of only a handful in New Zealand with that skillset.

Currently on the board of the Arts Council of NZ (which may prevent him from involvement in some Voyager activities) he chairs a Hawke’s Bay trust, and has been on the boards of Chamber Music NZ (chair), Auckland Arts Festival, Taranaki Arts Festival (chair), The Big Idea (chair), Objectspace, Black Grace and Creative Hawke’s Bay (chair).

Who We Help

Volunteer Team

Our services and know-how are needed now more than ever, but our historic funding sources are no longer givens so we're going to need to work differently for our cause.

Drama Performance

Arts and Culture

The arts are uniquely placed to be on the front line for the shared human experience but the delivery of art is going to look much different.  Now is our time.

Creative Agency

In our environment that changes every minute, we need good solid logic and pragmatism to enable and unleash our imagination.

What They've Said

Anne has enormous creative imagination and energy. She thrives on finding solutions to make business prosper.

I rate Anne 10/10 in business excellence.

Sir Michael Hill

I was privileged to work with Anne in her capacity as National Manager of the NZ of the Year awards. She is a great person to have on your team, bringing clear, incisive, creative thinking and most especially, integrity  to every  part of a project.  Her wealth of knowledge and experience will ensure you and your organisation are in very safe hands.

Jennifer Te Atamira Ward-Lealand

2020 New Zealander of the Year

Anne is a sharp thinker - always able to see the big picture - but then cut to the chase and design easily navigated pathways to achieve goals. Recently Anne helped design a tactical plan to on-board new high net worth donors. She deftly analysed the environment we work in (a sector that was relatively new to her) and then prepared an innovative plan that was easy to understand, follow, implement and measure. I can certainly attest to Anne's leadership, integrity, trustworthiness and high standards, but also her ability to find the the good, and the fun in all she does. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
